Krystyna RUMINKIEWICZ (born 1961).
Visual artist. Member of the Association of Polish Painters and Graphic Artists, based in Warsaw. Creates in various painting techniques. She draws inspiration from her travels and numerous plein-air painting trips.
Of Ms. Krystyna's prolific oeuvre, her series of paintings depicting women is the most distinctive. There is a mesmerizing multiplicity of faces, through which, however, one woman always shines through, as if the face of a woman were the place through which beauty penetrates the world. In each face we find the manifestation of eternal femininity.
The woman's face is the main element that creates the message of the painting, even if it seems to be woven into a mosaic of other faces. Most often these faces are calm, thoughtful, perhaps absent-minded.... Or perhaps it's the quiet suffering that is so specific to many women that speaks from these paintings, combined with an acceptance and assent to the way things are......
