She graduated from the Faculty of Spatial Planning at the Wrocław University of Technology and completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Painting at the Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts. The main theme of Katarzyna Morańda's work is a woman, depicted in different faces - depending on the day, moment, mood, situation. Most often, the artist paints impasto, applying paint in a thick, convex layer, accentuating the effects of light in the painting.
