About the Artist:
Painter and ceramic artist living in Swidnica. She earned a master's degree in conservation and restoration of ceramics and glass. She has participated in several art fairs and exhibitions in London, Italy and World Art Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Justyna Koziczak's works are mainly dreamlike compositions, such as portraits, landscapes or interior scenes. She creates paintings using mainly two techniques: (1) traditional oil paint on canvas and (2) a technique in which she uses fire to paint on metal, in which she mixes paint and burn marks. The theme of her works is mainly the confrontation between humans and strange, mysterious creatures, which represents the fears and challenges faced by modern society.
The artist wants her art to represent a story about all of us - people who struggle, lose and find hope and faith while facing the inevitability of death. All these paintings are a kind of journey to a world where not everything that is gloomy and sinister has to be bad, not everything that is beautiful and good has to be good.
