Józef PANFIL
Born in 1958 in Tomaszow Mazowiecki. Studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz. Obtained his diploma in 1984. Cultivates oil painting and drawing (landscape, portrait, still life). He teaches seminars in painting and drawing at the Painting Department of the European Academy of Arts. He has participated in many individual exhibitions - in several BWA galleries in Poland, in Heer Gallery in Oslo (1998), State Art Gallery in Torun (1999), Museum Gallery in Tomaszow Mazowiecki (2000) and again in Heer Gallery in Oslo (2001). Group exhibitions with his participation were organized in Poland in dozens of galleries. Exhibitions abroad took place in Bonn, Santorini (Greece), Oslo, New York, among others. The artist has also won many honors and awards, among others, in 2018 awarded a silver medal by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage: "Meritorious to Culture Gloria Artis" for lifetime achievement. His works are in the collections of many galleries and in private collections in Poland and abroad. He paints series of paintings: views from his studio, portraits, still lifes, Polish and Mediterranean landscapes, architecture and temple interiors.
