Jerzy Stajuda (1936-1992) - Polish painter, art critic and architect. He studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. He made his debut as a painter and critic in 1957, publishing in magazines such as Za i Przeciw, Przegląd Artystyczny, Więź, Współczesność and Miesięcznik Literacki. In his painting work, he considered Artur Nacht-Samborski to be his master, although over time he developed his own unique style, not subject to contemporary trends.
His works, both watercolors and oil paintings, create visionary structures, imaginative landscapes and reflections of archaic vegetation, bringing elements of mystery and poetic reflection to Polish art. After his death in 1992, his work was honored with a posthumous exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw in 1993.
