Painter, lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. From his early youth he was interested in artistic activities: he painted, drew, sculpted, but also played the violin and piano, performed in an amateur theater in Skierniewice, wrote poems and dramas. In 1936 he began his studies in the studio of Felicjan Szczęsny Kowarski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He received his diploma in 1945. From 1946 to 1950 he worked as a senior assistant in the painting studio. From 1951-1963 he was an assistant professor in the drawing department. In 1964-1968, he taught painting and drawing. From 1969, he obtained the rank of senior lecturer. He belonged to the group of 25 Realist Painters.
