Janusz Lewandowski (born July 2, 1937 in Rokic, died January 8, 2022 in Warsaw) Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Faculty of Painting, under Artur Nacht-Samborski. He received his diploma in 1964. He took an active part in artistic life. He participated in many plein-airs and symposiumsIn his work, he placed figures in the Mazovian landscape, which runs through his entire oeuvre and which he has never abandoned. The figures naturally grow out of the ground, being an extension of it or forming an integral part of the landscape. The paintings include motifs taken from Romantic literature, figures, symbolic animals, but also cocoons and hang-gliders.
