Studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in the atelier of Artur Nacht-Samborski, with whom he defended his diploma in1954. He presented his works to a wider audience for the first time at the Exhibition of Young Visual Arts in Warsaw in 1955. In the same year, the artist took a position as a lecturer at his alma mater. In 1981, he received the title of professor. Initially, in his artistic work, the artist created paintings with metaphorical aspects. From this time come portraits, which in their stylistic approach to the art of informel and matter painting. Later, in his painting compositions, arranged into whole cycles, Sienicki took up such subjects as still life, most often showing a solitary flower, a human figure, interiors or the buildings of Warsaw. Here, clearly drawing inspiration from the achievements of colorism, he used a strongly subdued color scheme maintained in grays, with flashes of sharper or brighter colors, laid on the canvas impasto. These works, created with a strong expressionistic charge, combined aspects of realistic representations with abstract form. He was the recipient of many prestigious awards and prizes, including: C. K. Norwid Art Criticism Award in1975 or J. Cybis Award received in 1983.
