Ida Stańczyk, Backstage, 2020
The painting titled "Backstage" is a painterly depiction of a space seemingly resembling a real theatrical backstage, but which is, somewhat perversely, only an image of it. It is a composed set design of a place that generally serves as a repository of scenographic elements. Shapes in the dark backstage are built by faint light giving a semblance of life to the silhouette on the floor.
Dimensions: 180x150cm, horizontal format
