Studied between 1946 and 1954 at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1955, he participated in the National Exhibition of Young Visual Arts "Against War, Against Fascism" at the Warsaw Arsenal. Belonging to the formation of "Arsenalists", guided in art by moral premises, he also confirmed in subsequent stages of his career, participating in meetings and joint exhibitions of this circle, organized by Jacek Antoni Zieliński. He made his individual debut in 1961 with an exhibition at the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Warsaw. As an artist who by his own choice distanced himself from current artistic life, he exhibited little, taking part in dozens of group exhibitions and presenting several individual ones. In 1993 he was awarded the Jan Cybis Art Prize. He was involved in painting, drawing and sculpture. He created figurative and symbolic compositions, often using classical architectural motifs.
