Minor rubbing. Good condition. Stanislaw Fischer, owner Stanislaw Ludwik Jan Fischer de Wilhelmsbach - Polish teacher and social activist. He was educated in schools in Wieliczka and Dąbrowa Tarnowska. He studied Polish literature, Slavonic studies, propaedeutics of philosophy, classical philology, Polish history, philosophy and art history at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University. Privately, he was also educated in painting. In Bochnia, he taught high school from 1908-1934, and was also involved in the history of the region. He also did a lot of research, publishing such studies as The fate of the Kazimierz foundation, The expulsion of the Jews from Bochnia, Casimir the Great and his attitude to Bochnia and the Bochnia area, The history of the Bochnia salt mine, Wiśnicz Nowy, its past, monuments and present state. He was also a collector. In 1957 he was the initiator of the Museum of the Bochnia Land, founded in 1959, and its director until his death on April 28, 1967 in Bochnia.
