oil on canvas in a frame, painting size 60 cm x 90 cm without frame
Dariusz Jasiczak took up painting at the age of 16, influenced by the work of Giorgio De Chirico. He devoted his work to the artistic work of Zdzislaw Beksinski, thanks to which he had the opportunity to meet the Master personally. The artist claims that he "connected himself mentally and imaginatively with the works of Beksinski, but did not want to become his imitator." He chose his own path directed toward Symbolism although he did not completely give up Surrealism. Currently, after a 10-year hiatus due to illness, he is once again returning to painting in this vein. Dariusz Jasiczak was a member of the London Society for Art of Imagination, by which he was honored with a second prize during one of the exhibitions organized by the Society. In 2005 he was the second Pole to be accepted into the ranks of this Society at that time.
