Beata Murawska, born 1963 in Warsaw, is a Polish contemporary painter, best known for her colorful, expressive depictions of tulips. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, she received her diploma with honors in Prof. Stefan Gierowski's studio in 1988. Her work, full of intense colors and dynamic forms, often oscillates on the border of abstraction, although her main inspiration is flowers and nature, interpreted through the prism of imagination.
Murawska is a colorist who builds her compositions with thick layers of paint and intense colors, which gives her paintings depth and sensuality. Her works have been exhibited in Poland and abroad, including France, Germany and Italy. As of 2018, the artist divides her life between Poland and Italy, where she draws inspiration from the landscapes there.
