Barbara (Basia) Bańda (Zielona Góra 1980, lives in Zielona Góra) studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. She received her diploma in the atelier of Prof. Jaroslaw Kozlowski in 2006. In 2018, she received her doctoral degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Since 2008, she has worked at the Institute of Visual Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Zielona Gora. She has had several solo exhibitions, including at the Lubuski Museum in Gorzow Wielkopolski (2001), Zderzak Gallery in Krakow (2005), Galeria Szara in Cieszyn (2006), Arsenal City Gallery in Poznan (2006) and BWA Gallery in Zielona Gora (2007), and has also participated in group exhibitions. She uses her own technique, introducing wool and embroidery elements to the canvas as an integral part of the composition.
