About the author: Alicja Szkil comes from Dukla in Podkarpackie Voivodeship, and since 1999 she has lived and worked in Podlasie. She attended the T. Brzozowski State High School of Fine Arts in Miejsce Piastowe. She received her diploma in painting in 1997 at the Faculty of Arts of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin under the direction of Prof. Adam Styka. In 2018, she became a member of the Association of Polish Artists - Polish Applied Arts.
For several years, she has been participating in regular group exhibitions of the art group "Tworzywo 96" in Lublin and in numerous group exhibitions at the Marchand Art Gallery in Bialystok. She draws inspiration mainly from nature, which is the source of her constant search.
