Biography
The artist's formation was influenced by numerous travels, including to England, Spain, France and Italy, but also to India, Australia, New Zealand and North Africa. He trained in Munich and at the Paris School of Fine Arts under Jean-Paul Laurens. In 1911 he settled permanently in Paris, becoming an important figure in the life of the Polish art colony on the Seine. The artist's works enjoyed considerable success in the era. They were exhibited at numerous solo exhibitions, primarily at the prestigious Galerie Bernheim-Jeune in Paris, as well as group exhibitions - in France, Italy, Belgium and Poland. Terlikowski's paintings are characterized by strong, saturated colors and thick textures applied with spatula. He painted landscapes, portraits and still lifes, which are predominant in his oeuvre. His works can be found in numerous public collections in France.
