Wlastimil Hofman (1881 - 1970) - painter, representative of Symbolism. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under Jacek Malczewski, Leon Wyczółkowski and Jan Stanislawski. He continued further studies at the École des beaux-arts in Paris.
Among other things, he belonged to the Society of Polish Artists "Art". During the Second World War, he left the Polish territories, only to return in 1946. A year later he settled permanently in Szklarska Poreba, where he died.
