Biography
In 1872-75 he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow with W. Łuszczkiewicz, and then at the Vienna Academy with C. Wurzinger, L. Loeffler, as well as with H. Makart and at theatrical decoration companies. From 1878 he traveled in Italy and Germany. In 1893 he settled permanently in Lviv. He became a professor at the State Industrial School and also ran a private painting school for women. He also did decorative wall painting and was an illustrator for Polish and foreign magazines. He primarily painted genre paintings.
