Stanislaw Julianowicz Zhukowski (1873 Jedrychowice - 1944 Pruszkow) - Polish painter whose artistic achievements include depictions of people, interiors and also, for which he is most associated - landscapes. He grew up in his family estate in Starowola (present-day Belarus) An artist highly regarded both in Poland and Russia. He studied in Moscow learning from Isaac Levitan, an outstanding landscape painter. He remained there after graduation to move to Warsaw in 1923. His works were exhibited many times at the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, He died at the age of 71 in the Pruszkow concentration camp where he was sent after the fall of the Warsaw Uprising.
