The work so far considered unknown, described in Hanna Długołęcka's article "Ekslibrisy Stanisława Ignacy Witkiewicz"[in:] BHS No. 1-2/2010. "The original of the exlibris that Witkacy made for [...] Zofia Stryjeńska has not survived. Stanislaw Witkiewcz had great affection for both Stryjeńskis. This is evidenced by the fact that he dedicated the play "Metaphysics of the Two-headed Calf" to them in March 1921. A few days earlier, Witkacy wrote a poem titled "The Artist and the Experts" dedicating it to Zofia Stryjeńska [...] From this year, as well as the month, comes an ex-libris made for Stryjeńska. The artist had the habit of dating his works, which is extremely valuable for researchers of his work. Thanks to it, we can establish that Witkacy made it literally one day after writing the poem, and ten days before dedicating the dedication to Stryjeńska in "Metaphysics."
At the time of publication of the article (2010), only a photocopy of the exlibris was known. The mentioned photocopy showing the offered watercolor reproduced: J. Degler, Witkacy's multiple portrait, Warsaw, 2009, p. 140.
The last photo in the gallery is a reproduction of the photocopy in the article: H. Długołęcka "Ekslibrisy Stanisława Ignacy Witkiewicz"[in:] BHS No. 1-2/2010, p. 435.
