Stanislaw DYBOWSKI (1895 - 1956) He began his studies in painting at the Warsaw Drawing School. In 1917-19 he stayed in Moscow, where he continued his studies, and later also studied at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Karol Tiche and Władysław Skoczylas. In 1926 he stayed in the south of France, later living in Paris. After 1932, he settled permanently in Warsaw. He exhibited mainly in galleries there and in Lodz. He had several solo exhibitions, including in Paris. He was a member of the "Pro Arte" art association. He painted mainly atmospheric landscapes maintained in the spirit of Jan Stanislawski's landscape painting, as well as portraits and still lifes.
