Stanisław BATOWSKI-KACZOR was educated at the School of Fine Arts in Kraków under Władysław Łuszczkiewicz and Florian Cynk (1883-85). The next stage of his artistic education was the Vienna Academy, where he studied from 1885-1887, and the Academy in Munich. In the 1890s he traveled extensively. At that time he visited France, Italy, Spain, Morocco and the Crimea. He painted landscapes, portraits, and specialized in battle scenes, both historical and relating to contemporary events. He led a lively artistic activity, ran his own painting school in Lviv, was a co-founder of the Lviv Association of Young Art Artists and a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Polish Artists in Lviv. He exhibited in major galleries in Warsaw, Krakow, Lviv and other cities
