Painter, educated at the Vienna academy, continued his studies in Munich (1880-86). In 1888-1896 he lived in Paris, where he ran a representative studio. During his Parisian period he traveled frequently, visiting Brittany, Switzerland, Denmark and the Netherlands. He returned to Poland in 1896 and settled in Lviv. In 1897 he was on an open-air painting trip in the Hutsul region, in 1901 he visited Warsaw and Lubelskie, and in 1903 Podolia. He actively participated in the artistic life of Lviv and wrote for local magazines. He participated in the exhibitions of the Warsaw TZSP, the Lviv TPSP, among others, and exhibited abroad in Paris, Munich Vienna, Berlin and Prague. He was a member of the Association of Artists in Lviv. He used oil technique, painted historical and genre paintings, and was a popular portraitist.
