Oil, cardboard, 33 x 39 cm, signed l.d.: J. Mularczyk 1936.
Studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studios of W. Jarocki and F. Pautsch. While still in school, he made theater decorations together with T. Kantor. In his early years, he often painted landscapes and genre scenes from the Hutsul region. He was associated with the creative group "Brotherhood of the Green Pin". After World War II, he settled in Lębork, where he was an initiator and animator of the city's cultural life. In later years he settled in Zakopane. He worked as a teacher in schools there and became involved in the Zakopane artistic community. Fascinated by Tatra landscapes, he devoted much of his work to them. In the 1970s he moved to Bochnia, where he fondly painted the Niepołomska Forest and the Vistula River valley. He participated in numerous national exhibitions.
