"Born in Warsaw in 1860- after graduating from the ginmazyum and after studying for a couple of years at the St. Petersburg school of military engineers, the late Wasilewski left around 1885 for Munich, where he entered the Academy. Since 183; he permanently resided in Warsaw, exhibiting small pictures painted with precision in the Tow. Zachęta. Among his better works are: "Cannon Shot", "Statue of Copernicus at Night", "Square" of Sigismund", "The Battlefield" and etc." (Source: Tygodnik Ilustrowany, 16-12-1916)
