Jan Tabinski (1843-1915) was a painter, a native of Markowa, who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He participated in the January Uprising (1863). After the defeat of the uprising he was exiled to Siberia, from where he returned in 1877. He settled in Rzeszow on Reformacka Street. Jan Tabinski practiced historical painting and, above all, religious wall painting. He made polychromes of such churches as those in Krosno, Jaroslaw and Horyniec (at the Franciscans), as well as in Jasienica Rosielna, Targowiska, Strzyzow, Golcowa, Ucherce, Ceblow (Orthodox church) in Kurzyna and Libusza. In Krosno at the Franciscans, Jan Tabinski also painted the painting "Our Lady of the Angels", and at the Capuchins "Vision of St. Francis", paintings depicting "St. Peter", "St. Anthony", "St. Mary Magdalene", "St. Felix" and "St. Florian". He made polychromy of the chancel in the Rzeszow parish church, and wall paintings and paintings in the churches in Święcany (paintings on the vault), Kosin (painting of "St. Sebastian" from the main altar), Malawa (painting of "Crowning of the Mother of God") and Racławówka - Zabierzów (paintings of "Removal of Lord Jesus from the Cross" and "All Saints").
