Biography
From 1902 to 1911 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under Józef Unierzyski and Leon Wyczółkowski. He received a scholarship and in 1908 left for Paris. He belonged to the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts and the "Pro-Arte" group. In 1937 he received a silver medal for his work "In Volhynia." He painted rural landscapes, vedutas, genre scenes. His favorite subject became the silhouette of a horse, very often shown while working on the land. The artist's works can be seen in the National Museum in Warsaw, Cracow, Poznan, as well as in the National Library and the Art Museum in Lodz.
