Biography
Painter and stained glass artist. She studied painting at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts under Karol Tiche and Konrad Krzyżanowski and sculpture under Xawery Dunikowski. In late 1905 and early 1906, she was educated in Munich. She continued her studies at a private course in Cracow with Wojciech Weiss, whom she married in 1908. She traveled extensively; during World War I she went to Vienna, where she studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule. She exhibited with artists belonging to the Society of Polish Artists "Art." She painted landscapes, still lifes and portraits, notable for their vivid, saturated colors. In 1926 she took part in an exhibition entitled "Aneri - Wojciech Weiss - Leon Wyczółkowski", held in Lviv, at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts there. She signed her works with an anagram of the name Irena - Aneri.
