Artwork description:
Henryk Szczyglinski's painting was strongly influenced by the work of Jan Stanislawski, under whom the artist studied during his studies at the Krakow Academy. It was at that time that the young artist's passion for colorfully sophisticated, broadly painted, atmospheric landscapes blossomed.
Henryk Szczygliński's depiction of a rural landscape with a wooden cottage and brick buildings in the background was set in a truly idyllic setting. Lush grasses and spreading trees create a fanciful setting for the entire composition. The expression of expression in the shaping of the stain, combined with a subtle color range, resulted in a post-impressionistic in its character image of rural life filled with tranquility. In addition, the work has high painterly and decorative qualities, which contribute to its attractiveness.
