This charming seascape in a sunny southern setting is present for the first time in an auction offering. The warm colors of the rocky shore and the buildings visible on it contrast interestingly with the ribbon of dark blue sea. Rychter-Janowska traveled extensively, e.g. to Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Hungary or North Africa, which then became the inspiration for the works she created. The painter visited Italy many times, so it can be assumed that she had a special fondness for this region.
