Biography
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow from 1883-86 with Feliks Szynalewski, Jan Matejko and Władysław Łuszczkiewicz. He continued his studies in 1888 in the studio of Stefan Hollósy in Munich. He made many artistic trips to Italy and Hungary. He lived in Lviv, Zakopane and Poznań. He was a member of the Warsaw Zachęta Society and ZAP, among others. In 1896, at the International Exhibition in Berlin, he received a gold medal. The subjects of his works were usually landscapes, portraits, genre scenes and flowers. The artist's paintings can be found in the National Museum in Warsaw, Cracow and the Leon Wyczółkowski Museum, among others.
