Minor stains, good condition. Own stamp. L. Madejski, lawyer. Award of urgency (embossing on the front cover and a corresponding dedication on the facing page). Under the dedication, dated. June 27, 1869, signed Teresa Wentz, educated, wealthy and respected Lvov resident, teacher, governess in noble and aristocratic families, founder of the Teaching and Educational Institution for Ladies. The institution, where the most prominent ladies' personalities of Lviv taught, became a meeting place for Lviv's Polish elite, and was described as "a true forge of Polish patriotism." Teresa Wentz was the aunt of Wanda Monné, the great love of Artur Grottger. The edition contains the four parts of "Dziady" and the "Ustęp" included at the end.
