Catalog. The exhibition "Katarzyna Kobro and Władysław Strzemiński. Prototypes of the Avant-Garde" was co-organized by the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid and the Museum of Art in Lodz. It showcased more than 150 works: sculptures, spatial compositions, drawings, paintings and furniture designs by the artists of the title, i.e. examples of consistent implementation of the assumptions of the modernist avant-garde, foreshadowing ideas that would fully resound only in the work of subsequent generations. The exhibition features works from the collections of the Art Museum in Lodz, the National Museum in Warsaw, the National Museum in Cracow, the Russian State Museum in St. Petersburg and Polish and foreign private collections.
