TUWIM's first printings,
ESTRADA periodical is a series of booklets published by Bronislaw Rudzki in Warsaw, 1917-1922(?). Kazimierz Rudzki wrote about them in the introduction to "Smoke from a Cigarette":
"A small, yellowed booklet that lies before me --- saved by chance in one of the basements of a house on Szkolna Street in Warsaw. I received it from someone kind-hearted, who noticed that it was published years ago by ... B. Rudzki in Warsaw. On the cover was a drawing by Arthur Szyk, depicting a Prussian soldier, and the title Estrada No. 30 (the date of publication is missing, but as far as my memory goes, it was 1921). My father, who had been running a music company and sheet music publishing house since 1906, began editing a whole series of small booklets entitled Estrada soon after the German army left Warsaw. These were collections of songs, poems, monologues and skits performed in Warsaw theaters. Today, these modest booklets are bibliophilic rarities and are a valuable documentation of memories of those distant times. To be sure, 36 booklets were published."
