Issue 1, confiscated by the censors. One of the most famous novels of the interwar period, both because of its bold moral plot and because of the highly eroticized, bold for the time illustrations by S. Zechowski, who made 37 drawings and decorative initials. The author searched unsuccessfully for a publisher for the book, and finally, in order for it to be published at all, he was forced to establish his own publishing house under the name "Sirinks", headed by Marian Ruzamski. Anticipating the confiscation of the work, the printed copies were successively taken out of the printing house, thanks to which it was possible to save a small number of them. It is only known that S. Zechowski managed to send about 50 copies. "Motors" to the subscribers and friends of E. Zegadłowicz. Stains and dustiness of the publisher's covers, vol. 2 lacks 2 plates, a few minor underlinings of the pages, good condition.
