A book-length edition of a series of columns previously printed in "Wanderer," which provoked heated discussion and long-running disputes. In them, Witkiewicz promoted new trends in painting and tried to define the role and tasks of art criticism. Includes Impressyonism, Mickiewicz as a colorist, The Cracow School, Fryne, Brandt's paintings, Juliusz Kossak, Mickiewicz's Monument, Suicide of Talent, To Professor Struve.
