L . Lille (1897-1957) - Polish graphic artist, collaborator of the Formist group. "Simplified in form, silhouetted compositions of trees and deer harmonize well with the mood of the work" (Gronska, p. 138). "Dynamism, deformation and strong contrasts of black and white characterize [Lille's] illustrations for books published 1922 in Lviv" (SAP).
