[SZURMIAKÓWNA Aleksandra, SZURMIAKÓWNA Maria]. Nowosądek scouting materials from the last years of the pre- and first years of the post-war period.
The two main elements of the collection are: "Scouting Notebook" by Maria Szurmiakówna (pre-1939) and "Work Book of Team VI 'Ognie'" (1946-1947) by Aleksandra Szurmiakówna. The first document relates to the M. Moscicki Troop V and the Emilia Plater Troop III. The notebook contains, among other things, the text of the scout pledge, the scout law, the duties of a scout, the "signs for the drive," the rules of whistle signaling, scout ranks, information on the history of scouting. Maria (Misia) Szurmiakówna was the sister of Helena Szurmiakówna, a scout, editor of the magazine "Zew Gór", one of the last victims of the Second World War in Nowy Sącz. The second document chronicles the activities of the 6th Scout Troop in Dabrowa Polska near Nowy Sącz in the years 1946-1947, in the form of manuscript entries in tables printed especially for this purpose. The chronicle was kept by Aleksandra Szurmiakówna, later a researcher of folk music and its documentalist (as Szurmiak-Bogucka). The collection is supplemented by small documents related mainly to the scouting theme (e.g., a scout songbook, a team work plan, a request to the board of cooper. "Społem" for support for poor students of the school in Obidza). Abrasions, stains. Owner's stamp.
