Karol Antoni Simon (d. 1841), bookseller, lithographer and music teacher, of German origin, was instrumental in the development of Polish culture, especially in Poznan, where he arrived in 1815. He initially traded in musical instruments and sheet music publications. He opened the first lithographic shop (1819) and the first sheet music rental shop (1831) in Poznan. He published works by Karol Kurpinski, Jozef Elsner and Jan Chrzciciel Kiszwalter. From 1837 a member of the Poznań Society of Friends of Fine Arts. Collaborator of Edward Raczynski. His company is also active in Berlin.
