Missing 2 plates with maps of Trobriand Island and East New Guinea. Boards and block slightly cracked, minor traces of staining inside, a few plates slightly damaged, nevertheless good condition overall. The first Polish edition of B. Malinowski's most famous work, the result of an expedition to New Guinea undertaken in 1914-1918. The edition comes with a preface by the author written especially for this edition. The English first edition ("The Sexual Life of Savages in North-Western Melanesia") was published in 1929.
