Unique, missing from Polish library catalogs. - The late Ludwik Slaski (1856-1906) was the grandson of Mateusz Slaski (b. 1778 in Radziwiłłów in Podolia, d. 1849 in Chełmno), who came to Pomerania from Podolia, buying an estate in Trzebcz Szlachecki in 1805. The Slaski family was a distinguished family of patriotic landowners. Ludwik's father and grandfather were deputies to the Sejm of the Duchy of Warsaw and the Prussian Reichstag. Ludwik himself, after studying law in Berlin, Breslau and Heidelberg, was to take up the property his father intended him to acquire in the Kingdom of Poland. However, after the death of his brother Dionis designated as the heir to Trzebcz, it was Ludwig who came into possession of the estate, where he became known as a good steward. - Condition bdb.
