From the introduction:
Witchcraft and Witchcraft of Poland is the work of a bibliophile, passionate about learning the history of culture, and its curiosities and peculiarities especially. Not the sharp mind of a scientist, but the vein of a collector, a collector, an amateur of white ravens, warehouses of antiquities, cabinets of wax figures, antiquarian books, everything rare, strange, mysterious, and therefore disturbing and tempting - this vein was the impetus for the publication of this amazing book.
The author wrote out the most interesting places from a rather extensive literature of works on witchcraft, and wrote a preface illustrating the history of witches and superstition in Poland, while Wypisy czarnoksięskie itself is an attempt at an anthology of Polish magical literature and contains reprints from arch-rarer works, which are most often white ravens, and thus are either not at all or not known to the wider public. This book, whose main feature is the absence of the so-called scientific method in the study, is a collection of facts and images from the history of witchcraft in Poland.
