Marcyan Kobiernicki by an unknown writer from the 16th century, "Historia o czterech młodzieńcach" and "Treny" p. Jakób Strusiowi od rąk tatarskich zginionemu , published by Jakób Kazimierz Gieysztor, Warsaw 1896, printing by the Warsaw Institute of the Deaf and Blind, f. 16 x 22cm, pp. 12, nlb. 28
Jakób Kazimierz Gieysztor published two pamphlets from 1589, both from under the same pen - unknown to any of his contemporaries - of Marcyan Kobiernicki. Both, as it turned out in the course of later research, turned out to be bibliophilic "white ravens." The publisher describes both brochures in some detail, paying special attention to whom they were dedicated (the first to the Sapieha family - Andrzej Sapieha, son of Pavel - and the second to Jakób Strusi, starosta of Khmelnytsky). He also devotes a lot of time to inquiries about the author of the pamphlets Marcyan Kobiernicki.
Most of the pages loose, the last page of the Threnody contains only a small fragment of the original text (according to the publisher's words: "pages of everything four, of which the last is only a small part".
