Art edition was published in an edition of 1000 numbered copies on thick handmade paper from the manufactory of the Blanchet and Kléber brothers ; copy number 12. Edition 1 of the book by the French historian Henri Bouchot (1849-1906), dedicated to Queen Catherine de Medici of France (1519-1589), wife of King Henry II, mother of, among others, Henry de Valois, King of Poland. Luxurious, highly decorative binding by the well-known Parisian bookbinder Lucien Durvand (1852-1924), referring in form to the royal splendor, prized for its perfection, awarded a silver medal at the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris. very good condition!
