Ludwik Jerzy Kern (1920- 2010), satirist, journalist, translator of fiction, songwriter. From 1948 to 1982 he worked in the editorial team of the weekly newspaper "Przekrój" Author of popular works for children, including Ferdynand the Magnificent and Please the Elephant, on the basis of which well-known bedtime stories were produced. Knight of the Order of the Smile. Since 1954 he was married to Marta Stebnicka.
Marta Stebnicka-Kern (1925- 2020), actress, theater director, singer, lecturer at the Ludwik Solski State Theater Academy in Krakow. Associated with the Jama Michalik cabaret (1960-1991). From 1954 to 2010 she was the wife of Ludwik Jerzy Kern.

On the frontispiece page, handwritten dedication by the Author to Marta Stebnicka and Ludwik Kern. Good condition, some soiling and rubbing of covers.
