From the Turkish translated by. M. Łabęcka - Koecherowa and T. Majda. Warsaw 1980, PIW. 8, pp. 338, fawn wrapper. The Turkish Chronicle.
Condition b. good. This is a historical tale, or rather a chivalric romance extolling the deeds of Melik Danishmend and Efromia. The story is set at the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries, during the period of the conquest of Asia Minor by Turkish tribes. Melik Danishmed was the founder of the Danishmend dynasty, which played an important role in the Turkization of Anatolia in the 12th and 13th centuries. The "Danishmendname" was first written down from oral transmissions by Ibn Ala in the 13th century; the present version, rewritten and supplemented with verses, by Arif Ali, dates from the second half of the 14th century.
