Layered glass lamp base, in the form of a slightly flattened spherical vessel closed at the top with a brass cover of arched form. In it are placed the ignition buttons and bulb holders - one facing down inside the base, the other upwards. The vessel, of the Ikora glass type - when illuminated by an internal bulb, shows the multi-layered structure of the glass and its color variations. A good example of design from the 1930s.
