"Znaszli ten kraj?..." is first and foremost an attempt by a witness and participant to record a number of episodes and details, insights and silhouettes related to the artistic milieu of Young Poland in Krakow. This text is, of course, also - by the way - an attempt to formulate his own opinions on a number of - in Boy's opinion, knotty - issues of the past era. (...)
The fictional optics, bringing out above all what is funny, sometimes acts like a pencil in the satirist's hand: it thickens certain features, emphasizes certain traits while removing others into the shadows: the result is a conformation similar to its original, but not at all identical with it.
