From the introduction: (...) after several years, the results of research consisting of drawings, descriptions and photographs began to form logical sequences, which led me to a new way of classifying sabers, presented in this study.This classification has many points of contact with the previously accepted types of sabers, but differentiates them more and applies other criteria for division (...). In addition to the inventory of Polish sabers, I have also included many drawings of weapons of neighboring countries, sensing that they may provide material for thoughts and conclusions, perhaps different from those presented by me.
