Wladyslaw Belza - Polish neo-Romantic poet, writing in the patriotic spirit, called the bard of Polishness. Publicist, animator of cultural, educational and press life. He cultivated social-patriotic lyricism, popular after the January Uprising, publishing several collections of it. He published historical and literary works about Adam Mickiewicz and his era. He also wrote under pseudonyms: Władysław Piast, Władysław Ostrowski. Many of his poems, written in a patriotic and educational tone, were addressed to Polish youth and children.
